A Total War Saga Troy was free during its first 24 hours of release on the Epic Games Store, and over seven million people claimed the game. Next week, the Amazons Hero Pack DLC will go on sale, and it will also be free for the taking, albeit for a whopping two weeks this time around (only the DLC, not the base game).

The Amazons DLC will add two new heroes to the game; the High Queen of the Amazons Hippolyta and her sister, the Warrior Queen Penthesilea. Each faction will have an all-female roster with a variety of cavalry units and unique troops.

For instance, Penthesilea has access to two-handed axe infantry, devastating skirmishers, and strong cavalry. Meanwhile, Hippolyta boasts famed Amazon archers and heavy sword infantry, as well as horse archers.

In addition to all that, players can also look forward to new buildings, faction mechanics, and new Epic Mission chains. A Total War Saga Troy‘s The Amazons DLC is slated to release on 24 September 2020 but will be free for all owners of A Total War Saga Troy owners until 8 October 2020.
