Nintendo Is Next To Respond To Activision Blizzard Issues After Sony & Xbox

There you have it, folks. The full trinity of the games industry has now voiced out against the toxic reports and issues at Activision Blizzard. It started with Sony and then, Xbox, shortly after. Now, Nintendo has finally joined the fray.
According to a report by Fanbyte, Doug Bowser expressed concern over the ongoing problems at Activision Blizzard in an email sent to all Nintendo employees.
The email allegedly states:
“Along with all of you, I’ve been following the latest developments with Activision Blizzard and the ongoing reports of sexual harassment and toxicity at the company. I find these accounts distressing and disturbing. They run counter to my values as well as Nintendo’s beliefs, values and policies.
Every company in the industry must create an environment where everyone is respected and treated as equals, and where all understand the consequences of not doing so.â€
The email apparently also states that Nintendo is dedicated to providing an “open and inclusive†workplace and the company expects the same culture from the industry and its partners. Bowser also states that Nintendo has been “in contact with Activision, have taken action and are assessing others”.
Last but not least, the email also reportedly states that Nintendo is working with the ESA in order to “strengthen its stances on harassment and abuse in the workplaceâ€.
With all the pressure on Activision Blizzard from consumers and developers/publishers alike, many are calling for the resignation of Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick, who is reportedly one of the roots of the problems at the company. We’ll have to wait and see if Sony, Xbox and Nintendo will be taking further action on Activision Blizzard in the near future.
