Star Wars Ahsoka Series Confirmed To Feature Star Wars Rebels Characters

During Star Wars Celebration Ahsoka panel, the first teaser trailer for the upcoming Ahsoka Disney+ series was shown to those in attendance. While the teaser has yet to be released online, it confirms that several Star Wars Rebels characters will make their live-action debut in the upcoming series.

According to a description by IGN, the teaser shows Ahsoka (Rosario Dawson) on the bridge of the Ghost (the ship of the Star Wars Rebels crew) and she is joined by Hera Syndulla. However, we only see her from the back, so we have no idea who will be playing the character. Maybe it’s Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who was confirmed to have joined the Ahsoka cast earlier this year.

The teaser also shows a live-action recreation of the final scene from the final episode of Star Wars Rebels (Season 4 Episodes 15 and 16 ‘Family Reunion and Farewell), where Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) is looking at a mural of the Star Wars Rebels crew, which includes Ezra Bridger.

This one…

We’ll have to wait for the official Ahsoka teaser to drop for the public to speculate more, but this is a good day for fans of Star Wars who kept up with the franchise by watching the animated shows like The Clone Wars and Rebels. In the meantime, you can watch the leaked teaser of Ahsoka by heading over here (while it hasn’t been taken down).

Ahsoka is slated to premiere sometime in 2023, probably after The Mandalorian Season 3 (which premieres in February 2023). At the time of writing, Ahsoka is only several weeks into production.
