This is great news for small streamers and part-time streamers with irregular schedules. Streamers and creators are more likely to get paid faster and receive their earnings every month. Even with just a few streams up in a month, streamers will get paid in the next payout date as long as they have accumulated a total of $50 or more each payout.
Creators from countries with smaller currencies too will benefit from this update as the previous minimum payout threshold of $100 was a steep slope to climb each round due to the subscription price cut implemented a while back. We can expect Twitch to add more countries to the list in an announcement this November. Changes can already be seen for some streamers from the aforementioned countries.
This is correct! As someone in Spain, I'm already seeing the updated theshold, and it's a great thing, as I really need money now, and I wouldn't have got a payout otherwise. pic.twitter.com/SkjyVuSsg3

However, Twitch notes that the wire transfer payout method will still require a minimum threshold of $100 but streamers will have the option to change their payout method.
