Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding Reach 10 Million Players

Fans of Hideo Kojima’s work can rest assure that his game-making days are still going to be a thing, if these new Death Stranding numbers are of any indication.

Kojima Productions has announced during the third anniversary of adventure game Death Stranding that the game has reached over 10 million players worldwide. This includes the regular Death Stranding and the Death Stranding Director’s Cut, made available for PS4, PS5, and PC. Here’s the self-pat-on-the-back congratulatory message from the company:

“As of November 8th, 2022, Death Stranding has connected with over 10 million Porters worldwide across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC.* This milestone comes as the Death Stranding franchise celebrates its 3rd anniversary following its launch on November 8th, 2019.”

Death Stranding first came out on 8th November 2019. We weren’t fans of it, but it’s a pretty divisive game. With these numbers, it’s good to know that the world will still enjoy/endure Hideo Kojima-directed video games.
