Just like Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange was relatively unknown in the public sphere. Scott Derrickson managed to turn a trippy and hippy comic book in the 60s into a great origin movie with even trippier visuals.

The movie’s magical premise makes it stand out amongst all the other MCU movies, with its fantastic Inception-inspired action sequences and spectacle. Most of all, it also had heart, making people fall in love with the man named Stephen Strange.
