The Magneto Protocol Activated

The term was first mentioned in Uncanny X-Men #304, the third part of the Fatal Attractions crossover event written by Scott Lobdell with art by Terry Austin, Dan Green, Dan Panosian, Tom Palmer and Keith Williams.

Basically, the Magneto Protocol is a series of satellites lying dormant across space. When activated by a joint decision between the United States, Russia, and S.H.I.E.L.D., they form a defensive perimeter around the Earth to prevent Magneto from attacking using his magnetic powers.

In the comics, activating the Magneto Protocol is part of what led to provoking Magneto, and later Professor X into shutting down Magneto’s mind, which ultimately led to the creation of Onslaught.

Peter Parker And Mary Jane Watson

Hey, we know those two.

Six Months After E-Day, Many Of The X-Men Are Presumed Dead

Forge and Bishop are a few of the survivors.

The X-Men Are Scattered Throughout Time

Rogue, Nightcrawler, Beast, Professor X And Magneto Are In Ancient Egypt

Probably during Apocalypse’s reign.

They meet a young Apocalypse (En Sabah Nur is his real name).

And there’s a mysterious futuristic building instead of the pyramids. Perhaps Rama-Tut (a Kang variant)?

Cyclops And Jean Grey Are In The Future, The Year 3960

They meet Clan Askani, the people who raised Cable.

And a younger version of Cable.

Post-Credits Scene

It looks like Apocalypse will be one of the main villain of Season 2.

There you have it, folks, the entire first season of X-Men 97.

Until the next one, excelsior!
