Uncharted Movie Hits Theaters Next Year, Stars Spider-Man’s Tom Holland

The Uncharted movie will finally be coming to theatres 18th December 2020 after languishing in development hell. Unfortunately, it won’t be starring Nathan Fillion as main character Nathan Drake like in that fan trailer that came out last year.

Instead, PlayStation gaming fans will have to settle for Tom Holland, who will play a younger version of the wise-cracking grave robber. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie will be fighting against the Steven Spielberg remake of West Side Story and the Coming To America sequel.

The film will be directed by Dan Trachtenberg, known for his work on 10 Cloverfield Lane, and will feature a screenplay written by Mark Walker and Jonathan Rosenberg. It’s quite a choice, but we can’t pass judgment until we see a trailer or some sneak peek of sorts. In the meantime, see why people prefer a Nathan Fillion in their Uncharted films via the video below.
