It’s official, the former The International champions are disbanding.
Team Liquid founder Victor “Nazgul” Goossens has released a video breaking the news and explaining the reasons behind this sudden development. It seems the TI9 team are going their own way to build new teams under their own names.
[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujYRqO8tGOU&w=560&h=315]“You have been absolute legends of the game and Team Liquid. Thank you for everything, and you’ll always be welcome to visit. I have the utmost respect for your decision and look forward to meeting you on the battlefield.”
– Victor Goossens, founder of Team Liquid.
The captain of the team, Kuro “KuroKy” Salehi Takhasomi also uploaded a video to spread his own message and express his gratitude towards Team Liquid for the past four years that have been filled with unforgettable experiences.
[wpvideo 7TIoFLoh]Fans of DOTA 2 will still be seeing more of Team Liquid in the future as Goossens has explicitly stated that Team Liquid are on the lookout for new players or teams who can continue the legacy left behind by the five legendary players.
On the bright side, it means that we will be seeing more action from KuroKy, w33ha, MinD_ContRoL, GH, and Miracle. It’ll definitely be interesting to see them go head to head with whoever replaces them in Team Liquid.
