Doom Eternal Delayed To 2020
By Burhanudin Zamri|October 9, 2019|0 Comment
Initially scheduled to be released in late November 2019, Doom Eternal has now been pushed back to 20 March 2020. id Software announced the delay through the game’s official Twitter account.
Apparently, the game has been delayed so that the studio could have more time polish the game and ensure that it lives up to fans’ expectations. To soften the blow of this disappointing announcement, a few other announcements have also been made:
- Invasion Mode will be released as a free update shortly after launch.
- In Invasion Mode, players will be able to enter another player’s game as a playable demon.
- Doom Eternal for the Nintendo Switch will be released after the game launches on other platforms. Release date to be announced in the future.
- Doom 64 will be available for all platforms except Google Stadia. It will come as a free pre-order bonus for Doom Eternal. The game will be released as a standalone on the same date as Doom Eternal’s release.
This is one of those rare occassions where people are actually disappointed that their trip to Hell isn’t coming anytime soon. Stay tuned on Kakuchopurei for more news on Doom Eternal.
