2020 is going to be the year of the comeback for Sonic The Hedgehog. Not only is the Sega mascot getting his own movie next month, but Sega have also announced a new campaign that will run throughout 2020, where they will be revealing Sonic The Hedgehog news on the 20th of every month.

This month it’s the announcement of the campaign itself, but starting from next month in February 2020, Sega will be announcing something new related to Sonic The Hedgehog. While it hasn’t been clarified, this may include more than just video games and other media as well, such as comics and the upcoming movie.

In celebration of the new Sonic campaign, Sega has released new PC and mobile Sonic wallpapers, as well as a bunch of new icons for social media. You can download these from the official website here, which is also where the monthly Sonic news will be posted every month.

The most recent Sonic game to be released was Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 for the Nintendo Switch, which launched in November 2019. Perhaps we’ll be getting more Sonic games in 2020.
