Star Wars Squadron Will Support Full Throttle & Stick Setups

Several days ago, EA finally unveiled the first trailer for Star Wars: Squadrons, a new first-person dogfighting game based in the Star Wars universe. The question on many flight simulator game fans since then has been; will Star Wars Squadron support a HOTAS (hands-on throttle and stick) setup?

You’ll be happy to learn that the answer is yes. This was confirmed by Star Wars Squadron Creative Director Ian S. Frazier in a reply on Twitter:

HOTAS setups can make flight sim games more immersive. However, Frazier stopped short of confirming if HOTAS support will also be arriving on consoles. In theory, the PS4 and Xbox One also have HOTAS setups available, though it remains to be seen if this game will support them.

Star Wars: Squadrons will launch for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC (Steam, Origin, and Epic Games Store) on 2 October 2020. More details and information (including gameplay) will be revealed later this week during EA Play 2020 at 7am GMT+8 on 19 June 2020.

In the meantime, check out the trailer below.
