The Persona Franchise Surpasses 13 Million In Sales

Atlus has announced that the total sales for Persona 5 Royal have surpassed 1.4 million units worldwide, while total sales for Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers have surpassed 480,000 units in Asia.

The Japanese developer has also confirmed that the PC version of Persona 4 Golden has managed to sell a whopping 500,000 units since it launched on Steam on 13 June 2020. However, that’s not even the most incredible milestone.

The Persona franchise has now sold a total of 13 million units worldwide, which is an impressive achievement for the long-running JRPG franchise. The series remained pretty niche until the release of Shin Megami Tensei Persona 3 onwards.

All of this bodes well for Atlus and fans of the company, especially considering that they have announced (during the recent Nintendo Direct Mini Partner Showcase July 2020) several exciting stuff coming next year, including a Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster and the release date/window for Shin Megami Tensei V.
