Check Out The Netflix Dragon’s Dogma Anime In Action

One of Capcom’s arguably underrated action titles is getting a brand-spankin’ 7-episode anime series, and so far it looks intriguing.

Netflix just released a trailer for the show, slated for a 17th September release. It features the following that’s sure to sate fans like myself:

  • Dragons, hydras, griffins, cyclops and goblins; all from the game.
  • Fantasy action & violence.
  • Pawns with names tied to the red-haired Arisen (named Ethan).
  • CGI anime.
  • A ton of British accents.

Shin’ya Sugai of 009 Re: Cyborg fame will be directing and producing the anime, while Taiki Sakurai (Cannon Busters) will be executive producer.

Trailer below, along with the show’s description. No sign of B’Z’s “Into Free/Dangan”, which is a crying shame:

“After losing his home to a dragon, Ethan sets out to hunt it down once and for all. A pawn appears by his side and serves to protect his life. But the dangers that lie in wait for Ethan are beyond their imaginations, for when you fight a monster… you just may become one too.”
