Pokémon Sword & Shield The Crown Tundra DLC Drops This October

During a live stream earlier today, The Pokémon Company announced that the next expansion for Pokémon Sword and Shield, The Crown Tundra, will launch on 22 October 2020.

The first expansion, The Isle Of Armor, originally launched in June 2020. Only several months later, The Crown Tundra is expected to add a brand new icy and frozen region to the game. A new mentor, Peony, will choose you to lead an exploration team heading into the Crown Tundra to check out the mysteries of the land.

The presentation also revealed that players will be able to catch all Legendary Pokémon from past mainline games, as well as new versions of the Legendary Trio; Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres.

In addition, players can also look forward to the Galarian Star Tournament and take on the region’s best trainers. Meanwhile, Dynamax Adventures will let players join 3 other players for tough raids.

On 6 November 2020, there will also be new bundled versions of Pokémon Sword and Shield, which comes with their respective expansion passes. However, no price has been revealed as of yet.

You can catch the 10-minute presentation below, which ends with a catchy new song from a Japanese band.
