Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia will host the PlayStation Partner Awards 2020 Japan Asia at 6pm GMT+8 on 3 December 2020. You can check it out on YouTube with English subtitles.

The PlayStation Awards have been held annually since 1995, recognizing the PlayStation versions of hit titles sold across the Japan and Asia regions.

For 2020, it has a new name, PlayStation Partner Awards, and adds several new awards. Jon Kabira and Hatsune Matsushima will host the event.

The award categories are as follows (via PlayStation Blog):

Grand Award

Awarded to the top three titles developed in the Japan / Asian regions with highest worldwide sales between October 2019 and September 2020.

Partner Award

Awarded to titles developed in the Japan / Asia region with top-ranked worldwide sales between October 2019 and September 2020*, with particularly noteworthy activity results**.

Special Award

Awarded to the following two titles:

• Titles developed by creators from outside the Japan / Asia region that have amassed the highest sales in the Japan / Asia region from October 2019 to September 2020.
• Titles developed in the Japan / Asia region in conjunction with Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios that have amassed the highest worldwide sales from October 2019 to September 2020.
