Bungie Is Nerfing Stasis Shatterdive & Revamping Its Next Season Rewards; Here’s How
A new year means a ton of new changes for loot-and-shoot games. First up: Destiny 2.
In Bungie’s first major update post for 2021, the company’s Destiny 2 studio talks about new Crucible and Gambit rewards, as well as nerfing the Hunter’s Shatterdive ability. Every guardian type in the game gets a Stasis ability, and the Hunter’s is the most OP one according to most players.
Check out the patch notes for the game’s upcoming Update 3.0.2, which is sure to change up PvP for the better.:
Reduce the potency of Shatter Dive + Whisper of Fissures against Guardians, going live with Update 3.0.2.
Whisper of FissuresÂ
Investigate the efficacy of the Stasis Titan Behemoth Super. We want to let the above change settle to see where the Behemoth stands in our PvP hierarchy, but this is next on our radar.Â
Bungie also mentioned returning rewards for season 13.
Reissued Dreaming City Reverie Dawn and Moon Dreambane armor.Â
Reissued 4 weapons for Dreaming City with new Perk Pools.Â
Reissued 4 weapons for the Moon with new Perk Pools.Â
Expanding Lost Sector Legend and Master rotation to 4 Moon Sectors.Â
Season 13 will change up Gambit and Crucible reward structures: now there will be two new unique weapons added to each of the three playlist rituals, which makes it six in total. Rank rewards will be manually picked up from vendor lists. This “gives much better visibility into what you’ll be earning as you progress, and helps you make better choices about where to spend your time”.
Here are the rewards for individual ritual ranks:
Bungie has yet to announce the starting date of Season 13, but we’re guessing it’s on the first week of February.
