Days Gone Director: If You Love A Game, Buy It At Full Price

On a recent episode of David “I Made Twisted Metal” Jaffe’s YouTube show, he featured another developer in the spotlight in the form of Days Gone creative director and writer John Garvin. The latter offered some wisdom if gamers and fans want to guarantee a sequel to a new IP or series: buy the game at “f****** full price” (via VGC).

When asked if Days Gone received any “meaningful uptick of engagement” since the game was added to the PlayStation Plus Collection on the PS5, John Garvin went on quite a rant, and justifiably so:

“I do have an opinion on something that your audience may find of interest, and it might piss some of them off. If you love a game, buy it at f****** full price. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen gamers say ‘yeah, I got that on sale, I got it through PS Plus, whatever.

[On whether you know you love a game until you’ve played it] I’m just saying, you don’t, but don’t complain if a game doesn’t get a sequel if it wasn’t supported at launch. It’s like, head here.
