Hot Toys Goes Retro With The Classic Red & Gold Iron Man Armour

Hot Toys has announced Marvel Comics – 1/6th scale Iron Man Collectible Figure (Deluxe Version) [The Origins Collection].

Iron Man originally appeared in Tales of Suspense #39 (March 1963) but he never actually started wearing the iconic red and gold colours of the armour until Tales of Suspense #48 (Dec. 1963). This sleeker classic suit might have been upgraded over the years, but it remains a design that Tony Stark keeps coming back to even in the comics.

This is as recently as the currently-ongoing Iron Man comic book series by Christopher Cantwell and Cafu.

To kick off the new collection, Hot Toys is pleased to introduce the Iron Man Suit Armor (Deluxe Version) as a diecast 1/6th scale collectible figure with re-imagined crystal armours, and a specially designed Tony Stark’s Workshop themed diorama base to enhance the collecting experience.

Exquisitely crafted based on Iron Man in Marvel Comics, the highly detailed figure features a newly crafted helmet head with LED-light up function; intricate design of the Iron Man armour and structure illustrating its mechanical detail; carefully painted in red and gold colouring with a metallic appearance; crystal clear armour parts, interchangeable mask and armour parts for different styles of display; LED light-up functions scattered throughout the upper body, Arc Reactor on chest and palms; multiple pairs of interchangeable hands for iconic poses.

The deluxe version includes a signature Iron Man suitcase with articulated function, also an elaborated diorama figure base with LED light-up function, allowing fans to explore Tony Stark’s high-tech workshop straight from the comic pages, includes articulated gantry arms, extra armour parts, and holographic screen accessories.

This was announced via the official Hot Toys Facebook page, but no release date or price has been revealed.
