Genshin Impact Version 2.2 Update Features New Inazuma Island & Thoma
Even with recent anniversary kerfuffles going on within entitled fans, Mihoyo is still persevering on with the announcement of the game’s next major update, which is scheduled for 13th October, right after the Kokomi banner is finished.
Genshin Impact version 2.2 is dubbed Into The Perilous Labyrinth of Fog, and will have the Traveler and his/her compatriots exploring the new Tsurumi Island. This new locale is full of fog, ruins, and mysterious enemies to discover and fight.
The update will bring in the samurai warrior from the game’s Inazuma storyline: Thoma. He uses Pyro as his element, he wields are polearm, and can bring up a shield to mitigate damage while he pulls off his spinning long-reaching attacks.
The update will also be fighting a new enemy called Rifthounds. They come in small and large sizes, in both Geo and Electro elements, and can inflict corruption debuffs onto heroes.
The 2.2 update will also be adding in DualSense Controller support for the PC version of the game. More features include a Serenitea Pot Inazuma-themed realm layout, Inazuma-style Furnishing Blueprints, Floating Platforms, and flowers that can be used as furnishings from the limited-time Dreams of Bloom event.
Players will also be getting new Hangout Events for Thoma and Sayu, as well as a limited-time event Labyrinth Warriors involving Childe and Xinyan, as well as a paper figure named Shiki Taishou who can buff your characters up during the event.
There will also be a seasonal event called Tuned to the World’s Sounds where players can enjoy a rhythm game with special string instruments and play a duet with Ningguang, Zhongli, Keqing, Xiao, Kokomi, Kamisato Ayaka, and Raiden Shogun.
And just like past Genshin Impact events, here are your redemption codes for Primogems & EXP books.
On a related note, the free Genshin Impact concert is also live right now.
