The Latest Capcom Pro Tour 2021 Japan Bout Reminded Everyone Why Daigo Umehara Is The Beast
Japan’s third bout of the Capcom Pro Tour 2021 just concluded this weekend, and it features a ton of online high-level Street Fighter 5 play from the region. But as always, there can only be one.
The big win here is taken by none other than Street Fighter legacy player Daigo Umehara, affectionately known within the FGC as The Beast. His last fight against HB|Kawano in the grand finals showcased the pro player’s composure, patience, and deft use of his “Ume Shoryu” technique, except it’s now a Flash Kick since he’s maining Guile.
Here are the top 16 players of the entire tournament. Legacy players such as Sako, Dogura, Bonchan, and Itabashi Zangief are still among the top-ranking players of the battle.

The next few tournaments for November will determine the players for the Asia Southeast and East regions.
