Capcom Shows Off Street Fighter 6 One-Button Offline Dynamic Controls Mode
By Jonathan Toyad|November 17, 2022|0 Comment
Capcom has released a new trailer for Street Fighter 6, showcasing its new Dynamic Control type.
Dynamic Control type is an offline-only mode that lets players execute moves, combos, and all sorts of actions with just one button. The moves that come out will be determined by the distance from your opponent, all calculated by the game’s AI. So if you’re far away, you’ll be chucking Sand Blasters as Luke. If you’re closeby, you’ll do a 5-hit-or-more combo with a knockdown.
This control scheme will join the game’s Classic control type (old school with required manual inputs) and Modern control type (think Super Smash Bros controls for SF). Obviously, this will not fly in high-level tournaments like EVO, but this is great for casual players looking to have fun on a couch with other players. This does remind me of the Capcom vs SNK 2 Easy Operations mode, where all moves are dumbed down for maximum fun among buddies and in a party setting.
Check out the control scheme in action below, though it’ll be more convincing to have a small camera view at the bottom or top of someone’s hand doing the inputs on a joystick or controller.
Street Fighter 6 will be out in 2023 for PC, Xbox Series, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4.
