Baldur’s Gate III Coming To Xbox Series Later Than Expected

It was just announced that Baldur’s Gate III will be launching on PS5 on 31 August alongside the PC and Mac versions. But what about Xbox Series players? Well, according to Larian Studios communications manager, Molly Carroll, an Xbox version has been in the works for some time now, but there have been some technical difficulties that the team is still working on.

Carroll addressed the question on the Baldur’s Gate III subreddit and explained that they want to make sure they can deliver a great gaming experience before officially announcing the Xbox Series version. The team is currently struggling with split-screen co-op and they want to ensure that the game meets their standards and expectations before making any promises.

Larian Studios doesn’t want to get anyone’s hopes up prematurely, so they’re keeping quiet about the Xbox Series version until they’re certain they can deliver. Carroll emphasized that they don’t like announcing anything until they’re ready because they want to avoid any potential disappointment.

But don’t worry, there’s no platform exclusivity preventing the release of Baldur’s Gate III on the Xbox Series, so it’s definitely a possibility. It’s just a matter of time before Larian Studios can resolve the technical issues they’re facing.

So, Xbox players, don’t lose hope as you may just have to wait a little longer than the PS5 and PC players. Until then, let’s enjoy the excitement of Baldur’s Gate III’s upcoming release and trust that the Larian Studios team will deliver a top-notch gaming experience for all platforms.
