Here’s Your First Look At The Command And Conquer Remastered ConYard

EA has revealed our first look at the Construction Yard from the upcoming Command & Conquer Remastered, and it’s a thing of nostalgic beauty.

EA updated on a Reddit post that the game is approaching the conclusion of its pre-production phase.

Based on the teaser picture above, it’s clear that they have successfully updated the graphics yet capturing the classic elements of the source game. I can’t wait to see other details from the game, especially ones from the Red Alert remaster.

Jim Vessella, EA Producer, has said, “Our primary goal with the visual approach is to maintain the authenticity of the original in-game asset.”

Vesella goes on saying, “If there are opportunities to pull in details from the cinematic footage to enhance an asset, we’ll do our best to incorporate those details. A good example here would be the blue pattern / texturing on the Con Yard door (Inspired by the classic Con Yard unpacking cinematic).”

The remasters of both the original Command & Conquer and Command & Conquer: Red Alert will be developed by Westwood veterans from a Malaysian company called Petroglyph. Another interesting fact is that the assets will be worked on by another Malaysian company, Lemon Sky Studios.

So far, no other details have been revealed such as pricing or release dates. We’re definitely keeping an eye out for those, so stay tuned.
