Marvel’s Runaways To Cross Over With Cloak & Dagger
By Alleef Ashaari|August 2, 2019|0 Comment
While Marvel’s Runaways on Hulu and Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger on Freeform might not be as popular as the Marvel Netflix franchise or Marvel’s Agents Of SHIELD on ABC, they offer a different, more youthful perspective into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
Much to the delight of fans, the heroes from both shows will soon be officially crossing over in a special crossover episode in Marvel’s Runaways Season 3. This was announced by Marvel Entertainment via their official Twitter account, with a video featuring the stars from both shows.

Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger recently concluded its second season at the end of May 2019, though it hasn’t been renewed for a Season 3 as of yet. Meanwhile, all ten episodes of Marvel’s Runaways Season 3 are slated to premiere on 13 December 2019.
Season 3 of Marvel’s Runaways will introduce sorceress of Arthurian legend Morgan Le Fay as its main antagonist, portrayed by Elizabeth Hurley. Details on the crossover episode remain scarce for now, but if it’s even partly inspired by the comics, their first meeting will likely end up in a classic confrontation before they eventually team up.
In case you’re not familiar, the Runaways are a group of young teenagers who run away from their families after discovering that their parents are villains with plans for an apocalypse.
On the other hand, Cloak & Dagger is a duo consisting of Tandy Bowen/Dagger and Tyrone Johnson/Cloak, the fates of which were intertwined when their powers activated and were found to complement each other.
Of course, it’s all a lot more complicated than all that, but those are the basic premises for both shows. While both shows are meant to be set in the MCU, they have only featured loose references here and there, instead of the more ‘connected’ Agents Of SHIELD.
