Netflix Confirms Stranger Things Season 4 With Ominous Teaser
By Alleef Ashaari|October 1, 2019|0 Comment
Several months after the premiere of Stranger Things Season 3 back in July, Netflix has finally officially renewed the series for a fourth season, with the unveiling of a brief yet ominous new teaser.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the streaming giant has signed Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer to a multi-year movie and TV deal that sources claim is worth a whopping nine figures.
That’s totally expected, especially after Stranger Things Season 3 broke records for the most-watched original Netflix series or movie in its first four days of streaming with an impressive 40.7 million households accounts.
The Duffer brothers said:
“We are absolutely thrilled to continue our relationship with Netflix. Back in early 2015, Ted Sarandos, Cindy Holland, Brian Wright and Matt Thunell took a huge chance on us and our show — and forever changed our lives.
From that first pitch meeting to the release of Stranger Things 3, the entire Netflix team has been nothing short of sensational, providing us with the kind of support, guidance and creative freedom we always dreamed about.
We can’t wait to tell many more stories together — beginning, of course, with a return trip to the Upside Down!”
The Stranger Things 4 official announcement trailer doesn’t reveal much, except showing us what seems to be what it looks like inside the Upside Down and seemingly teases a new season which will be set outside of Hawkins, presumably in Russia (where the Stranger Things 3 post-credits scene took place) or even in the Upside Down itself.
It ends with a sentence simply stating:
We’re Not In Hawkins Anymore.
No release date or window has been revealed for Stranger Things 4. In the meantime, check out my review of Stranger Things 3 here, or head on over here for my in-depth discussion of the Stranger Things 3 ending and post-credits scene.
