Korea Has Announced Its First Professional Valorant Team

With Riot Games’ multiplayer shooter out in the wild, it’s only a matter of time until each country starts officiating their own esports teams for the game. Korea draws first blood with its first-ever Valorant pro team: Vision Strikers.

This team is made up of ex-Counter-Strike: Global Offensive pro players who used to be on the same team. This does makes sense as Valorant is basically CS:GO but with Overwatch-style hero powers.

Here is the team’s line-up (via Inven Global):

  • Kim “Lakia” Jong-min - Player
  • Kim “Efina” Nak-Yeon – Player
  • Goo “Rb” Sang-Min - Player

Here are the official presser words from Termi to get the competitive ball rolling:

“The immediate priority is shaping the team to become the best in Korea, and to be the representing VALORANT team of this country. Looking further ahead, we want to become the best in the world, and as a team with a clear vision, we want to be respected and envied as a team by esports fans around the world.”

We can look forward to more Valorant teams being announced from all over the world to shake up the esports world. In the meantime, check out Vision Strikers’ training space below, which will no doubt be filled up with blood, sweat, tears, and cursing in the next few months. At least until Riot Games announces the Valorant equivalent of a Worlds.
