During the PS5 – Future Of Gaming live stream, Sony announced many of the upcoming games slated to arrive on the PlayStation 5 in the future. These include both third-party and first-party exclusives.
According to online shopping startup iPrice Group, Horizon Forbidden West is by far the most attention-grabbing. The highly-anticipated sequel to 2018’s Horizon Zero Dawn took a whopping one-fourth of all Google searches amongst all exclusive PS5 titles unveiled during the live stream.
This is followed by Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales in second place with 26 percent less search volume than Horizon Forbidden West. The rest of the top five most-searched exclusive PS5 games include Demon’s Souls, Gran Turismo 7, and Project Athia, respectively.
As for third-party titles, Resident Evil Village took the crown, even surpassing Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales with 31 percent more search volume. However, it’s worth pointing out that the Capcom game might have gained extra attention from fans of PC and Xbox Series X as well, considering that the game will also be available on these platforms besides the PS5.
This is followed by Hitman 3 in second place with 70 percent less search volume than Resident Evil Village while coming close in third is another Capcom title, Pragmata, with only 3 percent less search volume than Hitman 3.
The rest of the top six most-searched third-party titles include Little Devil Inside, BugSnax, and Solar Ash respectively, showing that gamers still care for indie games from smaller studios as well.
