[Rumour] Breaking Bad’s Giancarlo Esposito Will Be In Far Cry 6

Yesterday, in an interview with Collider, Giancarlo Esposito (best known for his role as Gus Fring in critically-acclaimed TV series Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, as well as Moff Gideon in The Mandalorian) confirmed that he is starring in his first major video game role, though he couldn’t reveal what it was.

Today, a new report by GameReactor has revealed that Esposito will be playing a role in the upcoming Far Cry 6, which will reportedly be the next instalment in Ubisoft’s long-running open-world FPS franchise.

This isn’t a coincidence, considering that the Ubisoft Forward live stream will be taking place on 13 July at 3am GMT+8 in less than two weeks. That will be the best time for Ubisoft to reveal Far Cry 6 and Esposito’s involvement in the game.

If this is true, it won’t be the actor’s first foray into video games, but as I mentioned above, Far Cry 6 will be his first major one. In the past, he previously played The Dentist in Payday 2 and Father in Destiny, both of which came out in 2014.

In his interview, Esposito also mentioned that his role in the mysterious new game will utilize “a new style of acting”. He already accomplished a motion-capture performance in Payday 2, so it will be interesting to see what he ultimately meant by that.
