Green Lantern TV Series Ordered By HBO Max
By Alleef Ashaari|October 10, 2020|1 Comment
HBO Max has officially ordered the Green Lantern TV series, which will be written by Seth Grahame-Smith (writer of 2017’s The Lego Batman Movie) and Marc Guggenheim (co-creator of CW’s Arrow TV series and a writer of 2011’s Green Lantern movie).
According to Variety, HBO Max’s Green Lantern will depict the adventures of many Green Lanterns. These include Guy Gardner, Jessica Cruz, Simon Baz, Alan Scott, Kilowog, and even future Yellow Lantern Sinestro.
However, weirdly enough, sources claim that Hal Jordan, Jon Stewart and Kyle Raynor (three of the most popular Green Lanterns) will not be part of the series.
The first season will consist of 10 one-hour episodes, and it will apparently be one of Berlanti’s most expensive shows to date. That’s to be expected, considering how the hard-light constructs of the Green Lanterns would require a lot of visual effects to bring to life.
At this point, anything would be better than the 2011 Green Lantern movie.
