Red Dead Online Is Getting A Standalone Game Release In December

Two years after the launch of Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar Games is finally releasing Red Dead Online as a standalone game on 1 December 2020 at an introductory price of US$4.99 (or roughly RM20.40) until 15 February 2021.

After that date next year, the price will change to US$19.99 (or roughly RM81.71).

According to the official website, Red Dead Online will be available for PS4 and PS5 via the PlayStation Store, Xbox One and Xbox Series X via the Microsoft Store, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Rockstar Games Launcher.

Red Dead Online was previously only available for those who owns Red Dead Redemption 2. However, it’s worth pointing out that you’ll still need PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold subscriptions to play them on PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

The standalone version of Red Dead Online will require up to 123 GB of storage space.

In the meantime, check out my review of Red Dead Redemption 2 here.
