Tencent’s Streaming App Launches On Nintendo Switch In China
By Alleef Ashaari|November 4, 2020|0 Comment
Tencent has launched its streaming app, Tencent Video, on Nintendo Switch in China. Tencent Video is a video streaming app like that of Netflix or Disney Plus, offering a wide variety of local and international streaming content.
This move by the conglomerate is a huge one, considering that even outside of Japan, the Nintendo Switch doesn’t have access to much streaming options, besides YouTube and Hulu.
This will capitalize on the lack of existing video streaming options on the Nintendo Switch. Tencent Video reportedly already has 900 million mobile monthly active users worldwide. This is because it is also available outside of China by the name, WeTV, on the Google Play Store.
