There’s A New Buzz Lightyear Origin Story Movie Coming In 2022
As if Disney isn’t content with remaking its past animated flicks, it’s now going to republish the origin story of Buzz Lightyear, a sci-fi space hero series with a toy line in the Toy Story franchise.
The movie is called Lightyear and will become the definitive story of the original Buzz Lightyear, possibly scrubbing the 2000 Buzz Lightyear of Star Command animated series out of canon. Captain America’s Chris Evans will be voicing Buzz Lightyear.

The film will be out 17th June 2022. We do wonder how original Buzz Lightyear voice actor Tim Allen will fit in all of this, or if he’s even a part of this new Disney canon-altering.
