Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 Won’t Launch Until Late 2021

Hardsuit Labs’ Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 has been plagued by problem after problem since it was announced in early 2019. It was revealed to be delayed to 2021 back in August 2020, but now it seems that the game won’t even be launching until sometime in late 2021.

Speaking with Swedish publication Placera, Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 publisher Paradox Interactive CEO Ebba Ljungerud said:

“I do not think it will come in the first half of the year, but we will see.

To be able to develop for the next generation, you have to have development kits from the manufacturers.

And I’m pretty sure that both Sony and Microsoft were affected by the pandemic because they did not have that many development kits.”

We’re sure the fact that firing several of the game’s important developers like its senior narrative designer, lead writer and creative director must have contributed to this worsening delay situation.

Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 is slated to release for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC sometime in late 2021. In the meantime, check out the latest trailer below.
