The Last Of Us Marlene Actress To Reprise Role In HBO Series

HBO’s The Last Of Us has cast Merle Dandridge as Marlene, in the upcoming TV series (via The Hollywood Reporter). Dandridge also voiced Marlene in both 2013’s The Last Of Us and 2020’s The Last Of Us Part 2. Marlene is the head of the Fireflies, a resistance movement struggling for freedom against an oppressive military regime.

Luna joins previously announced series leads Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey, and Gabriel Luna, who will play Joel, Ellie, and Tommy, respectively.

HBO’s The Last Of Us will be written and executive produced by Chernobyl creator Craig Mazin and the original game director Neil Druckmann. It will be co-produced by Sony Pictures Television, PlayStation Productions, Word Games, and Naughty Dog. No release date or window has been announced as of yet.

Druckmann has previously said that there will be changes and deviations from how it originally happened in the game. You can find the full details of his quote by heading over here.

The Last Of Us Part 2 is out now for the PS4. In the meantime, check out my full spoiler-free review of the game here, or head on over here for a guide and tips for the game. If you’ve already played the game, then I suggest checking out my 4000-word spoilerific article on why the hate for the game isn’t justified.
