The Hideo Kojima and Xbox Deal Has Reached Its Key Milestone

Video game auteur Hideo “Metal Gear” Kojima and Microsoft Xbox have signed a letter of intent. The document states that the two parties will work out the details on a publishing agreement for a new Xbox game from Kojima Productions.

According to sources close to parties (via Venturebeat), this is a key step in negotiations between Kojima Productions, the Metal Gear Solid creator, and Xbox. Lawyers associated with the partnership and deal are in the process of hashing out the minute details.

Both parties have spent months discussing a possible partnership, with this piece of news basically confirming that Kojima will be making an exclusive Xbox game for the platform and for Xbox Game Pass by proxy. For more on Kojima’s recent game, head here.
