Sony’s New Studio Is Working With Naughty Dog On A “Beloved Franchise”
Sony PlayStation’s new internal development team is co-developing a game with Naughty Dog based on a “beloved franchise” according to a job listing.
A PlayStation recruitment ad on a recruitment site (via Videogame Chronicle) said that Sony was “building a new internal game development team in partnership with PS5 Visual Arts”, the San Diego-based support studio which worked on The Last of Us Part 1. The ad also said that the unannounced title was being developed in collaboration with Naughty Dog.
“[C]urrently we are co-developing an exciting new project with Naughty Dog in a beloved franchise.”
As to what the beloved franchise could be, we’re guessing it’s an Uncharted remake. Given past Sony rumours about the company remaking its recent games for PlayStation 5, this may not be a stretch. Personally, I’d love to be surprised and see Naughty Dog’s Jakk & Daxter make a comeback of sorts.
