Publisher Outright Games, known for family-friendly titles such as PAW Patrol: Grand Prix and Jumanji: The Video Game, recently announced a video game adaptation of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem will launch on consoles and PCs.

Under license from Paramount Consumer Products, the game’s striking visuals will be inspired by the film’s bold, painterly art style. In addition, it will integrate ninja teamwork gameplay and a humorous narrative. In this game, players will have the opportunity to control all four turtles at different points in the story as they encounter various memorable characters. the game’s narrative is set to take place months after the events of the animated movie.

The big screen premiere of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem took place on 4th August 2023. The movie focuses on the four reptilians: Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo. These beloved characters embark on a mission to win the hearts of their fellow New Yorkers. For years, they have been sheltered from the human world by their wise and caring “father” Splinter. Together with April O’Neil (Ayo Edebiri), the anthropomorphic foursome begin fighting crime on the city streets, but soon become targets of a new mutant threat.

The voice cast includes Seth Rogen, Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne, John Cena, Paul Rudd, and Jackie Chan.

The chief operating officer of Outright Games, Stephanie Malham, said in a press release:

“Nickelodeon is one of our longest standing licensing collaborators and we’re overjoyed to have the opportunity to bring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to life in a brand new and original video game. This is one of the most enduring and beloved franchises in the world and we’re beyond excited to use our expertise to expand the Turtles’ global reach even further through the world of video games.”

Paramount senior vice president of games and emerging media Doug Rosen added,

“It’s exciting to launch our first console game set in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem universe, especially as the franchise only continues to grow. The vibrancy of this new film’s animation lends itself perfectly to video games, and we can’t wait for everyone to play it.”

While there isn’t yet an exact release date or specification for the game’s console platforms, fans can look forward to high expectations due to the movie surpassing the 90% Rotten Tomatoes rating, based on critics’ as well as audience votes.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem game is scheduled for release sometime in 2024 for consoles and PC.
