Cozy Sim RPG Roots of Pacha Announced Release Date For PlayStation & Switch

Publisher and developer Soda Den has finally announced the release date of the cozy Stone Age farming sim, Roots of Pacha for PlayStation consoles and Nintendo Switch. Since its release on PC via Steam on 26 April 2023, the game has received “Very Positive” reviews from critics and fans of the genre.

Roots of Pacha lets you experience the life of a thriving community in the Stone Age. As a member of this community, you can discover creative ideas, grow crops, make friends with animals, and help your village grow. The game offers both single-player mode where you can explore civilization’s early days, and co-op play where you can team up with friends.

Throughout the game, you’ll discover various “ideas” that will shape your world, such as metalworking, pottery, and even spirituality. Additionally, you’ll learn about the members of your clan, each of whom has their desires, fears, and goals in life. Clan members from other clans can also be recruited and invited to join your community.

There is also the option to customize your character. It’s fair to say that the Stone Age wasn’t exactly the height of fashion, so don’t expect anything elaborate. Players can even design, place, and decorate their own unique homes.

The PlayStation and Switch versions of the game will be released as version 1.1, which will also be available on PC on the same day. According to a previously shared roadmap by Soda Den earlier this year, version 1.1 will introduce several enhancements to the current system. These enhancements will include a new child growth stage, an additional romance option, increased interactions with pets, and various other improvements.

Upon release, players will be able to enjoy these new features on PlayStations and Switch editions. Roots of Pacha is slated to launch for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on 28 November 2023, with an Xbox Series and Xbox One release set for next year.

Check out the announcement trailer.
