This 80s-Styled Australian-Made Arena Brawler Is Flashy AF
We do love our arena brawler games; right now I’m hooked on Brawl Stars for mobile. But what about the console arena brawlers with tactile feedback and an 80s retro-future twist?
We’re missing those as of late, which is why we should thank Australian developer Bit Dragon for Hyper Jam. The official description from the PlayStation Blog, if you please:
Hyper Jam is a fast-paced arena brawler with a killer synthwave soundtrack and a dynamic perk drafting system that makes each match different from the last.
The game will allow players to reflect projectiles back with a parry system, a perk drafting which lets you bring in new buffs per round (see below), and also features online multiplayer if you want to get your fight on online.
I’m personally excited since it combines my favourite things in life: “fighting game mechanics” and “80s synthwave”. That recent video I did should be indicative of the latter. Hyper Jam will be on sale on PS4, PC, and Xbox One on 12th February.
