So How Much Space Will Cyberpunk 2077 Take Up On Your PS4?

Open-world games are often notorious for having ridiculously massive file sizes, especially on consoles. Games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey could easily reach between 50GB to 100GB in size.

It looks like those looking forward to CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 next year will have to start saving up space from now (or invest in a decent external hard drive). According to the Cyberpunk 2077 European PlayStation Store page, the upcoming game will require a whopping 80GB, and that’s the minimum storage space required.

If the base game already requires an incredible 80GB, how much will it all add up to when the updates and expansions start getting added into the mix? In comparison, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, along with all its DLC and expansions, requires around 50GB to install.

However, it’s curious that the Cyberpunk 2077 file size has yet to be stated on the US and Asian PlayStation Store, so 80GB could merely be a placeholder while the developer is still working on the game. We won’t know for sure until CD Projekt Red confirms the actual file size, probably closer to the game’s eventual release date.

Cyberpunk 2077 is slated to launch for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on 16 April 2020. In the meantime, head on over here for more details on Cyberpunk 2077 Collector’s Edition, or check out the 10 details we learned from the Cyberpunk 2077 E3 2019 demo here.
