Blizzard Is Open To Feature Overwatch Heroes In Super Smash Bros Ultimate
Following the upcoming release of Overwatch for Nintendo Switch this October, fans are speculating whether their intrepid FPS heroes and support may make an appearance on Nintendo fighting game Super Smash Bros.
Turns out the Overwatch folks have weighed in on the possibilities. According to an Inverse interview, producers Wes Yanagi and Andrew Boyd said that it would be an awesome thing to do, but it’s really Nintendo’s decision in the end.
“It’s hard to pick your favourite hero,” said Boyd. “All of them have their own draw in Smash and it’s a really cool idea.”
“[Apart from Tracer] there are any number of characters I would love to see in Smash,” said Yanagi, “but we’ll let Nintendo take care of that!”
Long story short: make it happen, Nintendo and Masahiro Sakurai. Maybe we might see an announcement this November at Blizzcon.Â
