White Supremacist Members Can No Longer Spawn In Red Dead Online
By Alleef Ashaari|June 17, 2020|0 Comment
Gamers and hackers have modded all kinds of things into Red Dead Redemption 2‘s Red Dead Online, but the latest one takes the cake. Some have been using cheats to spawn KKK or white supremacist members to harass other players in Red Dead Online, which is considered especially insensitive now with the ongoing #BlackLivesMatter movement.
While the KKK isn’t part of Red Dead Online, modders have been using the models from the single-player campaign of Red Dead Redemption 2. However, Twitter user @Tez2 has reported that a new update has apparently eliminated the ability to spawn the KKK in Red Dead Online on PC.

I wouldn’t normally share this, but we’re seeing more & more posts about it on reddit & Discord
Will @RockstarGames ever do anything about modders abusing the “Rockstar Message” text in Red Dead Online & spawning klan npcs?

Someone think it’s funny to Spawn bunch of KKK in Red Dead Online. #RockstarGames I know you don’t care about hackers in this game much, but given the current situation in USA maybe you want to do something? PS, I shot them in game, just can’t stand it. Bad taste of joke pic.twitter.com/PRPiU3q7Uo

Rockstar Games has confirmed to Polygon that they have indeed disabled the ability to spawn the KKK in Red Dead Online, but the developer did not elaborate further. That’s a good move from Rockstar Games, as racism should never be tolerated or accepted in any form or medium.
