Ubisoft Is Working On Fixing Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Corrupted Saves Issue
By Alleef Ashaari|November 19, 2020|0 Comment
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is a very buggy game, and that’s no secret. One of the biggest problems plaguing players since launch has been the issue of saves becoming corrupted for no reason.
I encountered this problem first-hand when playing Assassin’s Creed Valhalla for the purpose of my review. Even now, after 70 plus hours into the game and more than a week after launch, the corrupted saves issue still persists for me, and I see now, for many others as well.
The issue happens when saves would get a “Data corrupted!” tag. Both manual saves and autosaves alike would get corrupted, and the only solution I have so far is to keep manual saving several times until it sticks and the “Data corrupted!” doesn’t appear anymore.
Thankfully, in an email to GamesRadar, Ubisoft has officially acknowledged the corrupted saves problem in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
They said:
“We are aware that some players are encountering issues with their saves appearing as corrupted for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
We are actively working on fixing those.
We advise players to consult the dedicated page on Ubisoft Support for a temporary solution until we can provide a patch in the coming weeks.”
While “in the coming weeks” sounds vague and unclear, at least players can rest assured that Ubisoft is working on a fix as we speak. It’s frustrating to lose hours of progress due to corrupted saves.
