Japan’s Wonder Festival 2021 Toy Fair Goes Digital Next Month
COVID-19 is still putting a damper on offline plans in 2021, but that isn’t stopping one of Japan’s most prominent toy fair from making an appearance.
The Wonder Festival committee has announced (via Siliconera) that it will be hosting its Wonder Festival 2021 [Winter] toy exhibition online on 7th February 2021. This is because the offline version is cancelled due to the COVID-19 state of emergency declared in Japan.
The event will be held on that one day from 9am to 4pm GMT+8, and will be streamed & showcased on a dedicated Web Wonder Festival website. The price of admission? None, since everybody can attend this event for free, as long as they follow links on the dedicated portals to exhibitor websites and use the #WebWF hashtags for anything Wonder Festival-related.
If you’re itching to check out new kits and figurines from the likes of Kotobukiya and Square Enix, the online Wonder Festival would be a great place to start. We’ll be sure to update this news with the official website once it’s up and ready.
