The Most-Anticipated Winter 2021 Anime You Should Watch

It’s now 2021, and that means more new anime to tune into. Or so we thought.

Actually, this particular season of anime is just a huge number of existing shows rolling out their respective seasons, be it the one about giant monsters and warring nations, to popular isekais. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t any brand-new shows to watch though.

Here’s what you’re getting from December 2020 all the way to March 2021.

Attack On Titan (Final Season)

It’s the end of an era, at least for the show that blends nihilism with giant monster titans. This particular season starts off with another viewpoint, now focused on the Marley folks. Will this anime adaptation follow all the beats of the manga, or will it pull off a Full Metal Alchemist? We’ll find out until 1st February.

The Promised Neverland (Season 2)

Emma and co. are successful from their jailbreak from the orphanage and start their quest to find Mr. Minerva for answers. However, they might be out of their depth since they don’t know much about the outside world. Or do they? Also, not all demons are evil as Emma befriends some outsiders. But can they be trusted? Find out in Season 2 of this gripping manga breakout hit.

Re:Zero – Starting Life In Another World (Season 2 Part 2)

The popular isekai anime returns for the second half of its second season. After learning more about the world’s death loop and Witches of Sin, Subaru vows to save his friends from certain doom.

That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime (Season 2)

Rimuru returns to protect his friends and the Jura Tempest Federation. If you liked the first season, the second season is going to offer more of the same hijinxes and action. Available to stream now on Crunchyroll.

Dr. Stone (Season 2)

It’s science vs might as Senku and his kingdom of science prep for the upcoming battle against Tsukasa’s faction.

Beastars (Season 2)

The high-school drama with furries continues on in season 2. What new foes will our wolf hero Legoshi fight this time? Where is Louise? Is Juno vs Haru going to be a thing?

So I’m a Spider, So What?

A high school girl is reborn into a fantasy world as an itsy bitsy spider. She uses her positivity and smarts to survive the world against beasts and humans 50 times her size. Fun!

This anime is airing right now on sites like Crunchyroll & Netflix.

Cells At Work!! (Season 2)

Part education, part shonen anime, this show depicts cells as anime characters, battles and all. Season 2 will deal with internal haemorrhage, the mumps, intestinal bacteria, dengue fever, and acne. Fun!

Laid-Back Camp Season 2

Nadeshiko, Rin, and the rest of the Outdoor Activities Club are back for more outdoorsy goodness in the anime series.

Horimiya

Ah, a new show debuting in 2021. This colourful comedy from Cloverworks is about two polar opposites crossing paths: Kyouko Hori the popular academic who can’t socialize outside of work & school, and Izumi Miyamura the brooding otaku-like gentle guy.

Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu

One of the medium’s most renowned isekai light novels is getting a major anime series. The plot? It’s about a jobless and hopeless NEET who reincarnates in a fantasy world and plans to live his new life without regrets.
