Dota 2 Players Tested Positive For COVID-19 A Week Before The International 2021

Just before The International 2021 (TI10) gets rolling in about a week or so, a number of pro players have tested positive for COVID-19.

Team Aster has announced on Weibo that three of its players -Du “Monet” Peng, Lin “Xxs” Jing, and Ye “BoBoKa” Zhibiao- along with coach Cheng “Mad” Han and a few staff members have all tested positive for COVID-19. Monet, Jing, and BoBoKa play Dota 2 carry, offlaner, and support roles respectively.

The esports team was staying in the same hotel as four other Chinese teams taking part in The International. The other members have not shown COVID-19 symptoms and are waiting for test results.

There’s currently no comment or word from organizers PGL on whether TI10 will continue or whether they will have strict measures taken in light of the outbreak. For now, we and fans from all over wish the infected team members and staff members from Team Aster a speedy recovery.
