Spotting The Villains In First Spider-Man No Way Home Official Poster

Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios have finally unveiled the first official poster for Spider-Man No Way Home.

The poster depicts Spider-Man in his Iron Spider suit facing off against Doctor Octopus’ tentacles, but that’s not all. If you look closely, the small thunder on the top left has a slightly darker yellow colour than the longer thunder, which means that it might have been unleashed by Electro. Meanwhile, the swirling dust behind Spider-Man can only be none other than Sandman. Of course, who wouldn’t notice the Green Goblin flying in the corner of the poster as well?

That’s already four confirmed villains in the poster, with Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina), Electro (Jamie Foxx), Sandman (Thomas Haden Church), and Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe). Only two more and we’ll have a complete Sinister Six for the first time in cinematic history.

If it really is the Sinister Six, the remaining two might be Vulture (Adrian Toomes as played by Michael Keaton in Spider-Man Homecoming), Scorpion (Mac Gargan as played by Michael Mando in Spider-Man Homecoming), the Lizard (played by Rhys Ifan in The Amazing Spider-Man) or Shocker (played by Bokeem Woodbine in Spider-Man Homecoming).

For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighbourhood hero is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.

Directed by Jon Watts. Written by Chris Mckenna and Erik Sommers. Based on the Marvel Comic Book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Produced by Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal. Executive Producers are

Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, JoAnn Perritano, Rachel O’Connor, Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach. The film stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jacob Batalon, Jon Favreau and Marisa Tomei.

Directed by Jon Watts (who also directed 2017’s Spider-Man Homecoming and 2019’s Spider-Man Far From Home), Spider-Man No Way Home is slated to premiere on 16 December 2021.
