Persona 5 Tactica Guide & Tips: Find Your Heart

Atlus’ Persona 5 Tactica is now for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC. The latest spinoff of 2017’s Persona 5 is a fun game but isn’t anything special besides milking the franchise even more. Head on over here for our full and in-depth spoiler-free review of Persona 5 Tactica.

Here are some tips on how to become the best Phantom Thieves you can be:

You Can Replay Missions To Grind For EXP To Increase Levels And Gain More Money Faster

While Persona 5 Tactica is a turn-based tactical RPG, it still uses a levelling system similar to that of mainline Persona games. However, you can’t grind like you normally could JRPG-style. To get more EXP and grind for more levels, head into the Hideout menu and check out Replay to replay previous missions.

Make Sure To End Each Turn Behind Cover

This is the number one most important rule and mechanic in any (if not most) turn-based tactical games. The game teaches you this, of course, but if you’re not used to TRPGs, you need to understand how important this is. Standing out of cover will leave you vulnerable to critical enemy attacks.

You Can Change The Difficulty At Any Time

Unlike the mainline Persona games, or even most TRPGs, you can actually change the difficulty in Persona 5 Tactica at any time. That’s great to, considering that the best thing about the game is its story anyway, not its gameplay.

Makes Sure That The Team Members You’re Using Have Sub-Personas Equipped

This is easy to forget, even if you’re a veteran Persona player. This is because in Persona 5 Tactica, everyone (not just Joker) can equip other Personas as sub-Personas. Having a sub-Persona can be a huge game-changer during battle and not having them equipped will make their team members a lot weaker.
