Get Your KOF On With The Neo Geo World Tour 2018 In Malaysia
It’s good to be an SNK fan in Malaysia, especially if you’re into The King of Fighters and Metal Slug. And wouldn’t you know it: there’s a Neo Geo-themed tournament on the horizon next month.
According to a post from Mohd Aliffa of FV Esports, the Neo Geo World Tour 2018: Malaysia Stop tournament will be held at Berjaya Times Square on June 23. The tournament will be held in conjunction with the Game And Anime Expo (GAX) that is held at the same venue on June 23 and 24.
More event details are below, plus an official poster:
The champions of both the KOF XIV and KOF ’98 tourneys will be rewarded with a return flight ticket to Hong Kong, and thus given the chance to compete in the Neo Geo World Tour Grand Finals tournament with the rest of the fighters from all over the world.
We do wonder why the organizers picked the original Metal Slug when the obvious choices for these sort of score trials are Metal Slug X and Metal Slug 3. Ah well, we shouldn’t complain when Neo Geo-focused tournaments are a rarity these days.
